Jamiyl Peters serves as Coalition Manager for Small Business Roundtable and Senior Director of Government Affairs for Prism Group. Jamiyl brings a robust background in government relations and legislative support to SBR. With close to two decades of experience, he has honed his expertise through various roles including servicing as a senior legislative assistant for Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. (D-NJ) for eight years. During his time, he played a pivotal role in advancing the initiatives within key committees such as Homeland Security and Transportation and Infrastructure.

Prior to joining SBR and Prism, Jamiyl spent two years at Mercury Public Affairs, in Washington, D.C., where he further solidified his skills in government relations, contributing to strategic initiatives. Additionally, his commitment to public service is underscored by his work on the municipal level while working for the Newark City council president from 2006 to 2012.

At SBR, Jamiyl’s deep understanding of governmental process and his dedication to public service are instrumental in furthering their mission of excellence in public policy and governance with regard to small business.
