Congress has prioritized supporting small businesses and preserving American jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic, though most minority-owned businesses need further assistance and resources. Both the public and private sectors can utilize capital access as an opportunity to promote innovative tools to benefit underserved communities. This tele-town hall will explore the current disparate impacts affecting minority-owned businesses, potential avenues to increase support for this community, and how alternative lenders are playing an important role for underserved small businesses access to financing.
